For the Summer Exhibition 2019, Spencer de Grey RA selected works in the Architecture Room in a celebration of our awareness of a more sustainable world. He invited submissions that show how good design and a strong sustainable agenda can be mutually compatible, illustrating approaches necessary to help protect the environment.
De Grey’s hang, arranged around a central grove of trees, echoes the concerns explored elsewhere in the exhibition: man’s impact on the natural world and imminent environmental catastrophe.
The project Artists Atelier Villiger / Koefer has been selected for the exhibition.
The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2019 takes place from Monday 10 June – Monday 12 August 2019. For more information on exhibitions, visit the Royal Academy’s website.
