The building at Zürcherstrasse 36 was planned as a three-family building by the architect E. Walcher-Gaudy for the builder Julius Burtscher in 1925.
To this day, the building is in the same condition as it was when it was constructed, and has not been significantly disturbed.

The Mansard roof with its four cross gables and its tower above the corner oriel was a challenge in terms of roof geometry and for designing the details.
The plane tiles from the time of its construction can no longer be used. The roofing has therefore been replaced with plane tiles that are identical in terms of their material, size and colour.

The facade, originally whitewashed, was painted with light pink emulsion paint during renovations in the 1970/80s. Its rough finish does not allow this paint to be removed, which is why the facade has been repainted in its original colour.
