The new school building situated between an array of different structures seizes on this tension and serves as an intermediary between the competing styles and functions.
The sleek cube cites the large structures of the existing school buildings, while deliberate recesses and incisions bring order to the facade and accommodate the adjacent residential buildings with a nod to urban development considerations.

The new building boasts its own confident form language. It features solid construction and a conventional perforated facade. While the windows in the upper storeys will be mounted flush with the exterior, plans call for box windows on the ground floor that protrude from the building to illustrate the public nature of the space.

Spacious cutouts bring light into the inner foyer and entrance area. The first storey also offers the opportunity to design two intimate outdoor areas.

The slit in the main entrance extends all the way down to the ground to appropriately emphasise and shape this representative space.

The central corridor, with rooms arranged around it in a windmill fashion, avoids traditional hallways and provides a spacious solution that can be used as a meeting place and space for exhibitions.
