The plan for the new holiday home is to continue in the tradition of the town’s heterogeneous architectural assemblage. The dominant position of the neighbouring buildings is applied here as well.
The elements of the town’s traditional architectural language, including base, facade and opening, are translated into a contemporary idiom in the current sketches. The base of the building grows out of the slope like a boulder, while the rooms above it extend forward slightly in a prefabricated wooden construction. The facade in imbricated wood shingles adopts a design frequently found in the town. The openings for the windows are framed by the same kind of wood.
